Lowest Price Islands (1-year)

I used to be a subscriber of this magazine, believing it would have some interesting articles about islands - boy was I wrong. You could think the folks at this magazine are illiterate, and are only thinking about the money. All there is to this magazine are loads and loads, pages beyond pages of advertisement. Not even interesting advertisements but more for the rich and wealthy. In between are a few nice photos, and maybe they throw in a couple of articles, which can all be finished in about 7 minutes. No need to say, I cancelled my subscription.Get more detail about Islands (1-year).

Low Price Archaeology

I ordered this magazine subscription as a birthday present for my father. He is an armchair archaeologist and has thoroughly enjoyed reading this magazine. It has great world coverage of different events without being so academic as to bore the lay reader. The articles are thorough and interesting. I can't say that archaeology has interested me in the past, but I find myself looking forward to each magazine and read it cover to cover. I definitely recommend this magazine.Get more detail about Archaeology.

Save Garden & Gun

This is a top of the line literary magazine with attractions for both men and women. The writing is top notch professional. There are articles on shotguns, knives, gardening, homes and cooking, all slanted toward those who live or have lived in the southern United States. You WILL not understand nor like this magazine if you are north of Virginia or west of Texas. You will NOT like this magazine if you are on a deer stand the first day of deer season and love it. You will NOT like this magazine if you are an anti-gun liberal, although it is a non-political publication. You WILL like this magazine if you like good literature and want information about good places to visit and eat. There are errors in writing however that lead me to believe that the proof readers and/or editors live in New York City. (Clinton, Mississippi, home of Barry Hannah, is not north of Jackson, but west. An apparent mix-up with Canton, Mississippi, which is north). Part of the fun is looking for the errors, which are not numerous, but do exist. This magazine takes the place of the now yankee-ized Southern Living, and improves on it greatly.Get more detail about Garden & Gun.
