My husband got this subscription for me, so I wasn't aware of the bad reviews. But I have to chime in with Beth, Melissa, and Ardella in saying that I was extremely disappointed. I also got several back issues, so that my "one year subscription" turned out to be three back issues and three new issues.
When I first got the back issues, I thought it was actually pretty cool since I assumed I'd be getting a full year's subscription (6 issues), plus a handful of back issues. You know, kind of a bonus. No. I just got three old ones and three new ones. That's it. I'm completely annoyed.
The articles are good in that they do make for light reading: a nice refresher when you're exhausted at the end of the day. But most either weren't particulary relevant to my practice (adult med-surg), or they were something that most nurses probably already get as part of their annual employee training at work, or they just weren't especially insightful. I would say there was an average of one good article per issue. Get more detail about Nursing Made Incredibly Easy.
