Cheapest The Bark

Bark offers an alternative to the usual. The topics vary from educational to just plain fun, warm and enjoyable. It is for the reader who wants to know what is the latest in the dog world, be it health, training, travel, etc. And, it its for people who enjoy reading essays about all aspects of having a dog as a companion from the joy, to the humorous to the sad. I read my first BARK at the home of my friend and ordered a subscription for myself and two other friends. I have difficulty recycling past magazines, but finally do so by passing them along to someone I meet or know that shows a genuine caring and joy in the life of a dog and the dog-person relationship. Get it! Read an article at a time if life is too busy, but you probably will want to read the whole magazine at once, so be careful... It is addictive!Get more detail about The Bark.

Purchase M

I'm not a reader of M, rather I've been purchasing subscriptions for my niece, as a Christmas gift. She loves the magazine, so I am happy to sign her up each year. The company is great at starting the new subscription when the old one is finished. Thanks!Get more detail about M.

Order Hobby Farms (2-year)

Today, I received my first issue of Hobby Farms, and I am very pleased with the magazine. Although I currently live in suburbia, I make the most of my yard by gardening year-round, am motivated to become more self-efficient and make the move to a rural community in the not so distant future. For now, I am reading up on possible business ideas for a small hobby farm (game birds, animals for fiber, orchards, etc.), which I hope this magazine will have articles on in future issues. Although the magazine does have quite a bit of advertisements throughout, I read through them anyway because it is all new to me. I like the fact that there are recipes from the season's harvest, reader's pages & photos, and ideas for people who have hobby farms for pleasure as well as primary source of income. There is something to be learned from all of that. My hope is that this magazine will increase to a monthly publication in the future.Get more detail about Hobby Farms (2-year).

Shop For BBC History Magazine

I too recently subscribed to BBC History Magazine through Amazon and had no problems. It's a colorful magazine full of interesting and lively articles and stimulating ideas. Indirectly, I also see BBC History Magazine as a kind of travel magazine. There are lots of historical places I want to check out after reading a few issues. Highly recommended!Get more detail about BBC History Magazine.

Art in America

So many magazines are falling out of print due to lack of readers and increasing ease to read online. Some publications go from my first read to the recycling bin, but not so with ART IN AMERICA. Articles are rather interesting, the pictures are glorious, and I have yet to dispose of a copy. It's a pleasure to read about art, artists, critics, galleries and collectors, all in a concise format. I will admit that I do not read each article, but I scan each issue and find myself returning to a particular article I may have skipped after a memory is triggered. I also enjoy the feel of the paper because it is not so heavy as to weigh down the magazine, but it holds up well to page turning and storage. I recommend this magazine to lovers of art who want to increase their visual literacy.Get more detail about Art in America.

National Geographic Review

In an era of declining journalism, National Geographic shines above all else as a benchmark for quality, and photojournalism. They have recently won multiple ellie's the equivalent of the Pulizer prize in the magazine industry.

Each issue includes one or two features articles from around the world. While the magazine contains advertisements, they have placed ads in the front and back of the magazine so that feature articles are not interrupted by an annoying, gaudy ad, a practice often seen in other magazines. The quality of the photos is simply amazing, the magazine uses a high quality paper to deliver a better reading experience. In addition, the magazine occasionally features large folded photos.

It is not fair that other reviewers, provide a lower rating for this magazine because it can be found cheaper elsewhere. National Geographic provides a lower introductory rate. However, once you get past the first year, subscribers need to pay the default rate of $34. Get more detail about National Geographic.

PCPhoto Top Quality

PC Photo renamed this mag, "Digital Photo", I guess to better reflect the contents of the mag. It's been around for quite a while under the old name and I have subscribed off and on through out the years. It provides all the required info on cameras and lenses and accessories. I enjoy reading it from cover to cover and appreciate the test info and break down of the gear.Get more detail about PCPhoto.

TV Guide This instant

Don't believe the 4- 6 weeks shown as the time it takes to start a subscription. I waited for 8 weeks without seeing a single issue of TV guide. Called the subscription service yesterday and was told I should have received my first issue last week. The customer service person forwarded my complaint for an "investigation". Today I received a phone call and was told it would be another 3 weeks before my subscription would begin. What a joke!Get more detail about TV Guide.

Lowest Price Islands (1-year)

I used to be a subscriber of this magazine, believing it would have some interesting articles about islands - boy was I wrong. You could think the folks at this magazine are illiterate, and are only thinking about the money. All there is to this magazine are loads and loads, pages beyond pages of advertisement. Not even interesting advertisements but more for the rich and wealthy. In between are a few nice photos, and maybe they throw in a couple of articles, which can all be finished in about 7 minutes. No need to say, I cancelled my subscription.Get more detail about Islands (1-year).

Low Price Archaeology

I ordered this magazine subscription as a birthday present for my father. He is an armchair archaeologist and has thoroughly enjoyed reading this magazine. It has great world coverage of different events without being so academic as to bore the lay reader. The articles are thorough and interesting. I can't say that archaeology has interested me in the past, but I find myself looking forward to each magazine and read it cover to cover. I definitely recommend this magazine.Get more detail about Archaeology.
