Shop For The Atlantic

I started reading The Atlantic in 2004. Back then The Atlantic provided insightful and interesting articles covering Iraq and Afghanistan, and occasionally included some fiction.

In the last five years, I have witnessed the decline of this great magazine. The Atlantic has abandoned its literary roots by eliminating the fiction section from its monthly publication. Instead fiction is now published in an annual issue purchased on the newsstand. The quality of magazine has declined since The Atlantic moved its offices from Boston to Washington D.C. Recent covers have included tacky and cheesy headlines designed to capture attention and are more appropriate for a tabloid than The Atlantic. Examples have included

- The Britney Show
- The Passion of Alec Baldwin
- If Kim Jong Il Used Facebook
