Runner's World (1-year) Review

This is a very good magazine.I have run 26 marathons and many other races and I find with each issue that there is an article that gives some good advice or just gives me the incentive to get out there for that long cold Sunday morning run. A good read for any runner or for someone looking to get into the sport.Get more detail about Runner's World (1-year).

Inc. (1-year) Top Quality

Love this magazine. It really gets inside the minds of successful small business people and entrepreneurs. Interviews always have interesting questions, which of course, get interesting answers.

Good stuff on pitching, sales, VC, current business climate, and also technology. Each month, it's like sitting down with some of the most successful business people in the country.Get more detail about Inc. (1-year).

Cooking Light (1-year) Immediately

I've tried a number of Cooking Light recipes, but they almost always come out lacking depth and flavor. The magazine is well laid out, recipes look tasty and attractive, but they just don't taste very good. I understand that the point is cooking light, but they go too far. I'm a fairly experienced cook and familiar with a wide variety of cuisines and I don't think that cooking light should equal cooking boring, tasteless food. I suppose if you are looking for something lighter than hamburger casserole or fast food, this would work. If you want recipes that are healthy and actually taste good, keep looking. I would recommend Eating Well, which I have cooked with for years, it is a fantastic magazine with wonderful recipes. We once tried a week of Cooking Light recipes and then a week of Eating Well recipes at our house (from the current issues), Eating Well won- hands down.Get more detail about Cooking Light (1-year).

Men's Health (1-year) Best Quality

Look, I'm not going to sit here and tell you this the greatest magazine or any nonsense like that. What I will tell you is that this the best thing to keep in the bathroom for when nature calls and you need five minutes to yourself. Great range of topics from workout tips, emerging health trends, and some half-baked sex advice. Worth it my friends.Get more detail about Men's Health (1-year).

Vanity Fair (1-year) Get it now!

In Vanity Fair I learned the George W. Bush was likely dyslexic. How's that for research? No where else did I read about that aspect of our ex-president.Get more detail about Vanity Fair (1-year).

GQ (1-year) Buy Now

I ordered a whole bunch of subscriptions and I didn't have high expectations of this one but in fact I enjoy it quite a bit. Many advertisements of course, but if you are looking for the latest styles, these are actually useful for the purpose.Get more detail about GQ (1-year).

Cosmopolitan (1-year) Order Now

For the subscription to this magazine, it's ok the reason I think it's better to buy each issue on newsstands, is because you'll never miss an issue, and it won't come late or in damage. The subscription is way cheaper though. I think Cosmo is the older version of Seventeen. I have been getting Cosmo on, and off for five years now, and I really like most of the information, articles, and cover stars in this magazine. I think Cosmo is a great relationship magazine. For me it has always been Cosmo verses Glamour, the problem with that is I like both magazines the same, so there is no favorite. I think you should check out Glamour British for $5.50 an issue, it's small, and what's in this magazine is amazing, you can get this magazine at most bookstores. For me Cosmo will be a magazine I either read cover to cover, or constantly as the years go by, but for now I'll have to see if the magazines I like stay around, because of this economy right now you just don't know, a lot of magazines went under this year, magazines that have been around for along time, that is sad. I think Cosmo is a great magazine for women all ages. I don't like how many advertisements magazines have, but if it keeps them up, and running what can I say. All I do know is that I hope Cosmo, and all the other magazines I like never fade away, but like I said you never know, but for now we all just have to wait, and see.Get more detail about Cosmopolitan (1-year).

Lowest Price Women's Health (1-year)

I bought this magazine when it was on a $5 special! It must have been a lightning deal or something but I couldn't pass it up. I think one issue in the store sells for almost $5. Get more detail about Women's Health (1-year).

Low Price Disney Family Fun (1-year)

I ordered this magazine for my 11 year old sister, and she eagerly awaits its arrival every month. She has enjoyed trying the projects from decorating cakes to making her Halloween costume. Is lighthearted and fun. Projects seem to have a range of difficulty. I've been trying to find gifts that encourage creativity and art. She just asked me to renew it for another year, and I gladly said yes.Get more detail about Disney Family Fun (1-year).

Save Entertainment Weekly (1 year)

This magazine may not live up to the expectations of some reviewers, but for me, it was a great buy! I just love getting my new issues of EW- they're loaded with juicy tidbits from the hottest tv shows, music & movies. There is just enough fresh and interesting content to keep me wanting more. It does not present itself in tabloid fashion, yet isn't so dry that it reads like a current event mag. Give it a try! Get more detail about Entertainment Weekly (1 year).

Discount Real Simple (1-year)

I've received a few months of the magazine and my review is that the editors sold out. Most of the articles seem to be biased on purchasing some overly priced item that you don't really need to make life simple.

From reading it seems that any informational articles are written specifically to sell highly priced junk.

The magazine says it has the goal of making life easier. What it is, is a collection of poorly written advertisement, bad recipes, eclectic style and dumb ideas. Get more detail about Real Simple (1-year).

Cheapest Fast Company (1-year)

I have tried reading this magazine a number of times - in each instance based on an article highlighted on the cover. Unfortunately, in each case I found the article to be too short, superficial, and vacuous. The magazine is just a waste of time and paper.Get more detail about Fast Company (1-year).

Cheap Dwell

My mailbox overflows with magazines and among the themes, home and home- related topics are the most common. Dwell Magazine ranks as one of the better home magazines I read each month and it is one of only a few publications that I will return to throughout the month for entertainment and other purposes.

What makes Dwell a unique publication is its dedication to more interesting and unusual home remodeling and rebuilding ideas. Other modern home magazines exist, but Dwell Magazine takes the idea of modern to a slightly different level than other, similar publications. With Dwell Magazine, the reader is presented with unusual homes, both on the exterior and interior, and many of them are certainly eye- catching, if nothing else. This magazine is all about homes that offer distinction and some of the design ideas are very interesting and will stick with you for a long time.

Probably the most unique fact about Dwell Magazine is that, while it focuses on unusual and creative home design, it manages to maintain a level of livability. Other magazines that focus on unusual things- whether it's the home or something else- often take the weirdness factor to the extreme and they end up alienating most readers. But Dwell Magazine avoids making this mistake. The ideas it presents are unusual and creative, but still within the boundaries of taste and practicality.

Magazines usually offer articles that cover a large range of topics each month, but one other interesting aspect of Dwell Magazine is that each magazine is based on a specific theme. This theme is clearly spelled out on the front cover, directly under the magazine's name, in bold letters. This is nice because you already have a good idea what to expect when you open the pages of any issue. The featured articles for the month will stick to the main theme for that particular issue.

Dwell Magazine is one of hundreds of publications that focus on the home, but it easily stands out in the pack and I rank it among my favorites in this genre. I'm not into home design on a do-it-yourself level, but I do like to look at homes and the rooms within homes and I am always open to new ideas. Dwell Magazine offers plenty of creative ideas every month and it's a good magazine to consult for home makeover plans.

Buying Sports Illustrated (1-year)

Subscribing to Sports Illustrated was easy, convenient, and competitively priced. The subscription arrived several weeks earlier than the target date which was most appreciated.Get more detail about Sports Illustrated (1-year).

Buy Wired (1-year)

I have been reading Wired for several years and it has always been a good read with interesting articles and neat little tid bit pieces. However, the last few issues have been filled with advertisements. It got to the point with the latest isse that I ended up halfway through and quit reading the magazine and just started counting the ads. There was an advertisement on every other page. Sadly it is time to let this subscription lapse and move on to something that puts more effort into filling the pages with content. Get more detail about Wired (1-year).

Purchase Better Homes and Gardens (1-year)

I used to love this magazine for the decorating ideas, but have since canceled my subscription. There is nothing but advertising for RX drugs on what seems like every other page. Some of the ads are 2 - 3 full pages! I understand that advertising pays for the magazine, but they have gone overboard. I used to check out their website as well and it's the worst. Pop us ads for magazine subscriptions everywhere to the point that it's super annoying. Bottom line is that this magazine has no meat in it anymore. It's fat with advertising overkill, so just beware.Get more detail about Better Homes and Gardens (1-year).

Order EatingWell

I received this mag as a Thank You for my order with an online vitamin retailer. Wow! Finally a mag for people who want to cook healthy and different foods. I love to cook but find Gourmet, Food and Wine and Bon Appetit a bit intimidating with recipes for foods that I would never even try in a million years.

Eating Well has recipes that are easy enough for the novice but still challenging for seasoned cooks. Some recipes may have unfamiliar ingredients but at the back of the mag there is a glossary to help you understand the product and where to find it along with current prices! very helpful especially when I needed dried egg whites for the Chocolate hazelnut Tart I was making from the December 2008 issue. Also has articles on food/health related topics. Well worth the subscription.Get more detail about EatingWell.

Where To Buy Rolling Stone (12 issues)

This is a classic magazine and still worth subscribing to. Is it as good as it used to be? Probably not. Lots of changed in the last several years, not just the size, but it's still a great place to find out about new music you never would otherwise and get great interviews that blogs and other new media only dream of.Get more detail about Rolling Stone (12 issues).
